Your Standesamt,
as it truly felt.
Documentary civil ceremony photography in Berlin. English and 普通话 (Mandarin). Ceremony + portraits from €350.
The standesamt experience
Small room. Big moment.
A Standesamt ceremony lasts for 20–30 minutes. Most photographers underestimate how much happens in that room, the held hands, the exhale after the vows, the moment it becomes real.
I arrive early, work quietly, then guide you into portraits once it's official.
01
The ceremony itself
Every exchange in the room. The rings, the signatures, the moment it becomes real.
A relaxed session near your Standesamt. No rush, just the two of you.
02
Portraits after
Fully edited and delivered within 2 weeks. Sneak peek in 48 hours.

"We had our Standesamt ceremony in Berlin and honestly had no idea what to expect from a photographer. David made the whole thing so easy, we sorted everything over WhatsApp and finalized the details within a few days. On the day he was already there when we arrived, completely unobtrusive during the ceremony but somehow caught every moment we cared about. The group shots after were relaxed and quick, he definitely knew his craft and exactly how to pose everyone without it feeling forced. The photos are genuinely better than we ever imagined. and he truly captured the our most important day so beautifully"

Questions
What couples ask
-
You will receive around 45 fully edited photos from the day. Every image is delivered in both colour and black and white, so you have the full set in both edits to choose from.
-
A Standesamt ceremony typically lasts 20 to 30 minutes. The emotion in the room is concentrated, and I know exactly where the moments are. Short does not mean visually thin.
-
No. Everything with me is handled in English or 普通话 (Mandarin). The ceremony itself is conducted in German and may require a sworn interpreter if neither of you speaks German, but your experience with me is entirely in your language.
-
All payments are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, this is possible with at least one week's notice, subject to availability on the new date.
-
Yes, and this is always recommended. Even 45 minutes nearby is enough if the location is chosen well. It turns a brief legal appointment into a complete memory.
-
Popular dates, particularly spring and autumn Saturdays, fill up 3 to 6 months in advance. Reach out as soon as your date is confirmed.
-
Yes. Travel across Germany and Europe is available and discussed in advance so everything is clear before the day.
-
Full payment secures your date immediately. If you prefer, a 50% deposit holds the booking with the remaining balance due one week before the ceremony.
